Salvage Skill Guide
Salvage is the ability to reclaim the base materials from tools and armor. It is a child skill of Repair and Fishing, and it is calculated by averaging the two levels together. The ability to salvage is unlocked after Repair level 25. At lower levels, only undamaged items can be salvaged.

Level 1 | Scrap Collector - Rank 1
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 1 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 10 | Scrap Collector - Rank 2
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 2 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 10 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 1
- This ability allows enchanted books to also appear when salvaging enchanted items.
- 2.5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 2% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
- When an enchantment is partially extracted, the enchantments on the book will have a lower level compared to what it was on the item. For example, salvaging a Protection IV iron chestplate may produce a Protection III book.

- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 3 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 20 | Scrap Collector - Rank 4
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 4 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 25 | Scrap Collector - Rank 5
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 5 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 25 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 2
- 5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 2.5% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 30 | Scrap Collector - Rank 6
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 6 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 35 | Scrap Collector - Rank 7
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 7 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 35 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 3
- 7.5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 5% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 40 | Scrap Collector - Rank 8
- To salvage, right click a gold block while holding a salvageable item.
- Retrieve up to 8 of the item's valuable components.
- The handles of tools and weapons cannot be retrieved.
Level 50 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 4
- 10% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 7.5% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 65 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 5
- 12.5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 10% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 75 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 6
- 17.5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 12.5% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 85 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 7
- 25% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 25% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
Level 99 | Arcane Salvage - Rank 8
- 32.5% chance to get a full enchanted book.
- 17.5% chance to get a partial enchanted book.
