Woodcutting Skill Guide

Woodcutting is a skill that is based around chopping trees down with an axe. Leveling the skill gives you increased chances of extra wood dropping from trees, as well as extra duration on the tree feller ability.


These skill guides are organized in a list showing what level a skill or perk is unlocked, with drop down descriptions and other important information about the skill. Click the + symbol to open the drop down.


Below this list is an experience table detailing how much exp is granted by the block type mined. For each wood type lifted, the exp gain applies to all forms of the wood type. (Ex. Oak log, Oak wood, and the stripped versions all give the same exp).

  • Level 1 | Harvest Lumber - 1% Chance

    • Logs and Giant Mushroom Blocks Double Drop Chance.
    • Increased by 1% per level.

  • Level 5 | Tree Feller - Rank 1

    • To activate: right click with axe in hand to ready, then chop wood or giant mushroom to activate.
    • Cooldown time: 240 seconds
    • Lasts 2 seconds (+1 sec per 5 levels)
    • Cuts down the entire tree by breaking the bottom block! (Will not break trees larger than 500 blocks)
    • Your axe will loose as much durability as it would have if you chopped every block.
    • If your axe breaks while Tree Feller is active, you will take 8 damage (4 hearts)

  • Level 15 | Leaf Blower - Rank 1

    • Passive ability (will always happen).
    • Leaf blocks will instantly break when hit with an axe.
    • Breaking leaf blocks yields a 10% chance of dropping its respective sappling.
    • Breaking leaves will do durability damage to your axe.

  • Level 25 | Tree Feller - Rank 2

    • Lasts 6 seconds (+1 sec per 5 levels).

  • Level 30 | Knock on Wood - Rank 1

    • Passive ability.
    • Give you goodies (saplings, Exp orbs, apples, etc.) when using Tree Feller.

  • Level 35 | Leaf Blower - Rank 2

    • Increased chance of dropping saplings.

  • Level 50 | Harvest Lumber - 50% Chance

    • Logs and Giant Mushroom Blocks Double Drop Chance.
    • Increased by 1% per level.

  • Level 50 | Tree Feller - Rank 3

    • Lasts 11 seconds (+1 sec per 5 levels).

  • Level 60 | Knock on Wood - Rank 2

    • Passive ability.
    • Give you even more goodies (saplings, Exp orbs, apples, etc.) when using Tree Feller.

  • Level 65 | Leaf Blower - Rank 3

    • Increased chance of dropping saplings.

  • Level 75 | Tree Feller Rank 4

    • Lasts 16 seconds (+1 sec per 5 levels).

  • Level 99 | Harvest Lumber - 100% Chance

    • Logs and giant mushroom blocks always give double drops!

  • Level 99 | Tree Feller - Rank 5

    • Lasts 22 seconds (+1 sec per 5 levels).
